Our History

We are an inter-university and interdisciplinary research and training centre dedicated to the study of contemporary migration and diversity management.

  • Foundation of the Centre for Migration Studies and Research (CER-M) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, with a clear interdisciplinary vocation and the aim of bringing together the scientific activity of several research groups specialising in the study of migration, belonging to different social science disciplines (anthropology, sociology, education sciences) at the UAB.
    2009
  • One of the pillars of CER-Migracions is its master's and postgraduate training aimed at professionalisation in the field of migration and diversity management. It boasts a broad and varied teaching body that includes both academics, who provide a research perspective and academic rigour, and professionals with recognised experience in management and intervention at international, national, and local levels.
    2007-2008
