Narratives4Change project will study what has been theorised as “Public Narratives”, an effective leadership practice for community organising that is used worldwide. The project’s main goal will be to examine Public Narrative as a promising theoretical and practical model of the leadership practice and organising, inquiring on how when applied by civic associations it contributes to activate members’ agency and their strategic capacity to achieve social and political impact.
Communicative methodology
Seeking not only to describe reality but also to contribute to its transformation, promoting the social, political, and scientific research impacts. Starting from a mixed-methods approach that combines qualitative techniques, such as literature review and documentary analysis, questionnaires, in-depth interviews, discussion groups, and history of daily life with a longitudinal study.
Targeting
It should be noted that the estimates indicate that the Autonomous Communities with the largest Roma population are Andalusia and Catalonia (approximately 350,000 and 65,000 respectively) (MSPSI, 2011). For this reason, these have been the two territories selected to carry out the field work of this research.
