Finding ways out of forced marriages: prevention, protection and support tools for practitioners across Europe

Objective
To equip professionals working (in)directly with potential victims of forced marriage (FM) with competencies and tools to address the challenges presented by this social issue in 4 EU countries (Spain, Germany, Belgium and Greece).

1.

To evaluate their needs through 4 activities and 5 outputs: a legal report related to FM in Europe, summaries of the legal frameworks regarding FM in selected countries of origin, a needs assessment and recommendations report for professionals, an interactive mapping of best practices, and a European training workshop with professionals.

2.

To foster mutual learning and capacity-building through 4 activities and 3 deliverables: a multi-agency manual, national train-the-trainer seminars, and training sessions for frontline professionals.

3.

To raise awareness and contribute to a change in behaviours and practices through 2 activities and 2 outputs: graphic leaflets and a narrative video.

4.

To advocate for the end of FM among policy-makers and stakeholders through 6 activities and 6 outputs: a communication plan, a policy and legislation brief, seminars with policy-makers, participation in events, a final conference and a Memorandum of Cooperation.
