Towards the Transformation of the Care Management Model from the Perspective of the Rights of Domestic and Migrant Care Workers
Project Objective
Analyse the living and working conditions of migrant-origin domestic workers who occupy the most vulnerable segments of this labour sector in Spain, from a rights-based and gender perspective.
Justification
The study focuses on two groups that clearly exemplify the extreme effects of the so-called “care crisis” in the Spanish context, as a consequence of the impacts of the globalisation of care work on women: live-in domestic workers in an irregular situation.
